Mix Artist Studio Christmas Newsletter December 2025
Dear Artists and Music Creators,

2025 has been a busy year here at Mix Artist Studio. The last project of the year is now completed, and I am taking some time off to spend quality Christmas time with my kids, family and friends.
It feels like a good moment to lean back and reflect on the music that’s passed through the studio this year. Off the top of my head, I’m counting around 27 songs recorded and 36 songs mixed - and I'm probably missing a few.
The projects ranged vastly, from some huge 80+ track arrangements, to simple acoustic guitar plus vocal productions. They ranged from sad and grateful (dealing with personal loss), to happy and cheerful - but every single project meant something important to the songwriters and musicians behind it. And I feel humungously grateful and humbled to be involved in the journey of these creative artists, and to add my own bit of magic in the process.
A personal highlight was the studio-musician debut of my 9-year-old daughter Skyla, who contributed some vocal performances to SAPHY's phenomenal upcoming Children's Music album.

Skyla's been to the studio many times before, but it was her first time in front of a microphone. There were some nerves, but we had heaps of fun together, and Skyla did a tremendous job!
When she received pocket money from the client, she looked at me with astonishment and asked: "I can get paid for singing in the studio? That can't be real, Daddy!" "Yes, it's real, Skyla :-)"
I’ll be ready and excited for your next projects from early 2026 onwards.
In the meantime, enjoy a fantastic summer break. Kick back and enjoy summer-life.
Btw, isn't it funny how sleighs and white Christmas themes dominate the Christmas music we listen to on hot summer days? Let me finish with a very unique, 'Byron-style' piece of Christmas music to get you into a sunny Christmas spirit:
Merry Christmas, have a wonderful silly-season with friends and family, and a Happy New Year to all you amazing creative artists!
Love you all!

Warm Regards,
[House Engineer & Studio Manager]
