2026 – 04: Introducing the Artist Partnership Program

Mix Artist Studio, Mullumbimby NSW

Mix Artist Studio Newsletter 04 2026

Dear Artists and Music Creators,

What if recording your music in a professional studio could reduce your costs by up to 50%?

For many musicians, the biggest challenge isn’t making the music - it’s recovering the cost of recording it properly.

The honest truth is: Streaming revenue alone will almost never cover that investment.

So I started thinking about a different approach.

A Different Way to Fund Your Recording

Many artists today build multiple income streams - live shows, merchandise, sync licensing. And that absolutely works.

But it also takes time. And often, the return comes long after the recording is finished.

So I asked myself:

What if you could add another income stream - as early as the recording stage?

Introducing the Artist Partnership Program

I’m currently looking for 2–3 outstanding bands or groups of musicians in 2026 to take part in a new initiative:

The Artist Partnership Program

Here’s how it works:

If your music is the right fit, I may license one song from your recording project - offsetting up to 50% of your studio costs.

What This Means for You

This is not a record deal. And there’s no catch.

  • You still own your music

  • You can still release it, stream it, and monetise it however you choose

  • You remain free to pursue your own opportunities

Nothing is taken away. Instead:

I invest in music I believe in - and we share the risk together.

Why I’m Doing This

I’ve recently launched Mix Artist Academy - where I teach mixing and production using real-world sessions.

Mix Artist Academy - Online Courses for Creative Music Mixing

That requires great multitracks. Not generic or AI generated material - but real music, performed at a high level.

So rather than sourcing that elsewhere, I’d rather invest directly in the artists I believe in.

The licensed material may be used in:

  • Mixing courses and tutorials

  • Webinars and workshops

  • Educational content and demonstrations

  • Social media and promotional content

Always in a way that supports both the music and the learning experience.

Who the Artist Partnership Program Is For

This is a selective program - and it won’t be right for everyone.

I’m looking for:

  • Well-rehearsed bands or groups of musicians

  • Strong, authentic original music

  • Great performers with great sounding instruments

  • Music that comes to life through performance

I’m open to many genres - but this is not suited to projects that rely heavily on loops, programming, or extensive mouse-click based MIDI production.

In short: If your music is built on musicianship, this is for you.

Let’s Start a Conversation

This starts with a conversation - not a commitment.

If your project feels like a strong fit:

  • Reach out via the contact button (below)

  • Send through your music, videos, or anything that represents your sound

From there, we’ll take it step by step and see if it’s the right fit for both of us.

Final Thought

Great recordings are an investment.

This is simply a different way of approaching that investment - together.

I'm looking forward starting a conversation with you!
